Nicholas Wansbutter B.A, L.L.B

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Nicholas attended the University of Manitoba where he received his Bachelor of Arts (2001) and Bachelor of Laws (2004).

From the very beginning he had an interest in criminal law and as a second and third year law student worked at the University of Manitoba Law Clinic where he had his first experience defending clients. Following law school he articled with the Manitoba Department of Justice and worked there for four years as a Crown Attorney after being called to the bar.

During his years as a Crown Attorney, he worked in the General Prosecutions Unit and was a member of the Impaired Driving Working Group. In this capacity, he gained extensive experience at all levels of court. He conducted more impaired trials in four years than many defence lawyers have in 10 years.

In November 2008 he moved to Kitchener, Ontario and set up his own Criminal Law practice. Building on his experience as both a prosecutor and defence lawyer, he can guide you through the process and help you minimize the impact of criminal charges on your life.
