Devon Linkert – Kitchener Criminal Lawyer

Criminal Law is all that I do, and all that I’ve ever wanted to dedicate my life to. My undergraduate degree is in Forensic Science (B.Sc.F.S.), which means that I have the in-depth background knowledge necessary to fully understand these aspects of your case.

While completing my Juris Doctor at Western Law, I specialized in criminal law, including specialized classes in evidence, sentencing, police accountability, Aboriginal law, and youth justice.

During this time I also completed a clerkship with various Judges at the London Ontario Court of Justice. Through this experience I gained special insight into the criminal justice system from the Judge’s perspective, and a particular interest in specialty courts (Gladue, therapeutic courts focused on mental health and addiction factors, and youth courts). After completing my practical placement with a criminal defence lawyer in London, I returned to Waterloo to be with family and am happy to call this city “home”.
